A knowing reader will smile at every encounter from Charley Patton to Ma Rainey to Robert Johnson to Son House to Willie Dixon... nearly every blues musician who ever made a mark on the music scene. Written in a vernacular voice as from a 102 year old survivor of the 20th Century, Been Here and Gone will resonate with any blues fan and evoke smiles of recognition along the way. Highly recommended for any blues aficionado.
