3.5 ⭐ AKA Comfort Food Bible Classic North American '50s & '60s recipes (or earlier). Many of the Company's Coming series feature healthy or lighter dishes - this title, however, is dedicated to mainlining the childhood favourites; roasts; ham; meatloaves, chicken, pork chops etc. Many of the included recipes became the inspiration for TV dinners. So, that. Also many recipes call for a can of condensed, cream soup. So, that, too. 《SODIUM CHLORIDE ALERT》. You likely won't be taking pictures of your plate and posting them on line but if you're of a certain vintage and inclination you'll appreciate the simple recipes and clear instructions. It's old fashioned in its style but so is home cooking. Corny joke included at the bottom of many pages.

My book is so well loved (worn) from happy supper usage that its now missing the cover & a few of the index pages. For my family that Sweet & Sour Meatballs are always a hit at potlucks, the roasts are yummy...this means happy children, empty plates.
