Review # 1 was written on 2011-07-26 00:00:00 Nicholas Gatins I expected to like this book better after leafing through it. There are lots of good ideas here about cooking in smaller portions and not have a ton of leftovers, things kids tend to like and not like, cooking tips throughout. Most of the recipes looked very similar to my style of cooking ... fairly simple but wholesome and from scratch, basic foods like chicken and vegies and rice -- this is just how we eat so there would be no shocking tastes for my kids to dislike. Or so I thought. But once I started in on the recipes, I could not find any that the kids truly liked, and I do not have picky eaters. Usually they eat whatever I put in front of them but for whatever reason they did not care for the food that came from this book. A little disappointing.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-12-25 00:00:00 Artur Davis I've owned this book since it was first published, and love it to this day. Many of the recipes have become family favorites, like the 1-2-3 Pea Soup, among others! When my children were small, I loved the helpful hints sprinkled throughout the book. I will use this cookbook for my grandchildren!
