Review # 1 was written on 2019-10-26 00:00:00 Judith Thatch good book , i think of this subject all the time , and have been reading on it for more than one year , i'm doing my research on the origins of sex's differences , sure , there are innate factors , but , social inviornment has deep effects on us , especially during our childhood . as the book mentiones , media indusry nurtures these female/male differnces for its benefits . my believe is , in order to tackle this problem correctly , we need education reform ( preschool ) , communicatins reform ( media ) political reform ( rules and legislations ) economic reform ( capital system ) . |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-01-13 00:00:00 Mark Bigonger Slightly dated and formulaic, but otherwise a lovely book discussing a difficult subject in a measured way. Lots of methodological reflections, so great for a PhD student... An interesting inquiry underlies the book, which tackles at its core the structure/agency debate. |
