A quiet picture book for adults. The poet and the painter are neighbors in rural Vermont. This little volume takes the reader out into the woods near their homes, one month at a time. Poetic and observant, and visually appealing. I enjoyed the appendix where the poet and artist give a brief background to each poem and painting.

Little tips to be a bit more 'earth-friendly': -It takes twenty trees to keep one baby in disposable diapers for two years. Each cloth diaper can be used anywhere from 80 to 200 times, and when finally disposed, takes only six months to decompose. -SImply installing the most efficient tires available on the market today would improve the fuel economy of most cars by 1 to 3 mi./gal. -Of the billion pounds of pesticides used each year in the U.S., less than 1% reaches a pest
