Review # 1 was written on 2018-05-24 00:00:00 Marina Maniatis I rated this book 4 stars because I did benefit from it and because it's full of common sense. However, it loses one star in my opinion because it's a lot longer than needed and it gets repetitive in some parts. The author warns about the repetition in the first chapter though so it was my choice to continue reading. If I'm to summarise this book in a few lines, I would say: 1. Trust no one with your money (that includes financial advisors, your auntie, ...etc). 2. Only take financial advice from people who have already made money from that advice, not from someone in a 9-5 job who is not millionaires yet. 3. Invest in indices trackers and investment trusts, especially those that pay dividends. 4. Only invest in individual shares if you have the knowledge, experience and time to research and mind your investments. 5. Investing is long-term (i.e. 5 years or longer), otherwise, it's trading.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-06-08 00:00:00 Thomas Jennert Brilliant as always Stuffed full of common sense. On reading this I have decided to be my own financial advisor and make my own investment decisions.
