This biography briefly explains Dwight D. Eisenhower’s life. He was born on October 14, 1980 in a small town of Texas. His family did not have very much money as he was growing up. Eisenhower had a great childhood growing up while living on a farm. Many other peers called him “Lil Ike” and when Dwight was about two years old, his family moved to Abilene, Kansas. Lil Ike was very athletic and played many sports growing up. He went to Abilene High School and played football and baseball. He graduated from high school in 1909 and sadly, his family could not afford to pay for college because they spent all of their money for their other son to go to college. As a result, Eisenhower went to military school and had many special offers. Soon, his rank in the military was so high and Dwight eventually ran for president. He became the 34th president of the United States and ran two terms as president. I recommend this book to people who enjoy social studies and like the subject of war and the military because Eisenhower was very involved in the military especialy during World War 2. I would give this book a 3/5 stars because it was interesting to see how a kid from a low-class family could become the 34th president of the United States. Although, I am not really into war and military ranking! I didn't really get some parts of the book because it was confusing but overall it was an okay book!I enjoyed learning about his childhood, however, I disliked the part where they deeply explained the ranks and process through the military because I did not have much background knowedge.

Dwight D. Eisenhower was the thirty-fourth president of the United States. He had the nickname "Ike," and everyone liked him. Throughout his two terms he suffered a heart attack, the Space Age began, and the United States accepted two new states. I would use this book in my classroom because it is very informational and interesting.
