The symbols were created by the astrologer Marc Edmund Jones and Jones himself maintained that the symbols were developed with the help of clairvoyant powers. The book is a good introduction to the Sabian Symbols and is essentially a reference guide to the symbols and need to be read in conjunction with your astrological chart. In a sense, the Sabian Symbols challenges us to look deeper at ourselves and require an element of meditative contemplation.
