I remember getting this book when I was younger, it use to be an old library book that had gone on sale since the library needed new books so my mom got it for me then. I reread it now and it takes me back to then. Mainly, the story describes the different kinds of desert wildlife in Arizona, teaching kids the letters of the book while also showing them the names and descriptions of the named objects. This would be a good book for teaching kids that live in the desert climate along the southwest. In general, the book has two lining themes to it, including fiction and a creative description. The illustrations have there own kind of feel to them, nothing too detailed, just enough to where the reader gets an idea of what is in the picture and why. Though, they could include a few more facts for each object in the text in case the reader wants to know more. Of course then they could look up more information later with the knowledge of the name of the object and it's nature. Overall it is a nice little letter book that doubles as a desert wildlife book and can be twice as informative for any reader.
