This fun little graphic novel is a curious book to rate because although I enjoyed it, I ended up reading it thinking of other people who would not only enjoy the book but love it. It's like watching an arrow pass you by, hit your mark but fully knowing that it will hit someone else's mark. In short, this book wasn't intended for me. Sure, I enjoyed it but I know full well some teen will read this and it will become one of their favorite works. It's random, quirky, curious, clever, fun, at times sappy and mopey as teenage years can be and actually quite unique. Lex and Damion are bound by love but separated by a curse imposed by Isabella. It's a tad complicated at times to keep up, but not in a bad way. Characters are memorable and fun and I'm sure that although I didn't love every time Alexia said oogie, someone will be tickled pink by it. So if you want something random to add to your TBR and like light hearted fun, this one might be fun for ya.

Lovely graphic novel! I love that every single goth archetype is represented here, and beautifully drawn! GAWJUSS!! "Gothic fairy tales with sharp characters and dialogue, and gorgeous art grace these vignettes of romance, humor, horror, and sorrow. Unrequited love, social treachery, bad goth poetry, and monsters under the bed lure you in with daring imagery and a rich, dark atmosphere." ~~~Book Review
