This is another great book comparing early photography at Gettysburg to more modern views (in this case 1997). Gives modern day photo explorers an opportunity to look at the field through the lens of the pioneers and see how the field/town has changed in 150 years. Must book for Gettysburg adventurers.

Much as I would love to describe this book as a "laundry list of deviancy", I can't quite bring myself to do it. Yes, it reads like a laundry list, with descriptions of court cases, arrests and charges of indecency tumbling one after another with hardly a sentence in between. But there are hints behind the lists of some interesting characters and fodder for some good stories. Be warned: He is non-judgmental to a fault, and left me feeling at times that he was being too lighthearted about things that I find it hard to be lighthearted about (like rape and pedophilia).
