Review # 1 was written on 2007-07-08 00:00:00 Donald Clark Not the kind of book you read from cover to cover.... Excellent information here, good detail. Having a friend who has been these places is always the best guide, though, and really the default in our travels.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-02-20 00:00:00 Leon Walls Fundamental wine enthusiast reading about Zinfandel in California and its origins. Also covers history of Ridge Vineyards and other old vines sources. Includes several tips for wine tasting and keeping standards objective. My copy is heavily annotated, highlighted, and worn, loaned to many. There are more recent books, with greater scientific results, but none more interesting to read.
