Cazdyn admits that his delivery is a little impressionistic. His discussion the reception of pornography in Japan and the US is interesting, although without a more fleshed-out analysis I can't say that I am satiated.

The talk around prizes is really funny. Of course the book also deflates all prizes forevermore, so that the only grounds remaining for caring about the outcome of the Nobel, Booker, Oscar, etc. are purely instrumental. That's a GOOD thing.
