Review # 1 was written on 2011-02-07 00:00:00 William Gray Funny, how stereotypically your political leanings develop ... (though I'd voluntarily peel every inch of skin from my body before ever becoming a Republican.) The point being that at another time in my life I likely would have swooned over this collection. As it is, it was rather hit and miss. A few of the stories were totally lost on me, and "The Tick" was so gross I couldn't read it. Me, the woman who just read Chuck Palahniuk's short story "Guts." This was just icky for no point -- detailed removal of a tick just isn't my thing, I guess (though Chuck's stuff is upchuck-worthy and not my thing either.) Where was I? I loved "The Tutu," though, so much I'm willing to forgive its completely predictable ending. It was sweet, solid and sincere.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-07-29 00:00:00 Paul Butler It is a series of very short stories. I prefer novels.
