Review # 1 was written on 2014-10-15 00:00:00 User Novell It's a solid enough cookbook for folks doing shorter thru-hikes from a base with a proper kitchen and groceries available. It's definitely not budget aware. While some attention is given to weight, this is about fresh ingredients, not freeze-dried. My main complaint is that Arsenal simply has not bothered with any serious editing of the e-book. There are typos and inconsistent style issues all over the book, which is unfortunate. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-02-22 00:00:00 Jonathan Owens Almost a complete waste of paper. A lot of the recipes are of things to cook before you even step outside. There are recipes for sandwiches ! Many suggest ingredients that you are hardly likely to be carrying in a backpack. Asparagus, bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, fresh spinach, broccoli, the list is endless. I can only assume the author has never really backpacked herself otherwise she wouldn't write such rubbish. |
