Review # 1 was written on 2017-06-17 00:00:00 Dara Crockett One of the reasons this book is so important is because of the lens from which it is written. So many of the books on war or about war are written by veterans; the author of this book, Jon Robert Adams is, not a veteran, and we need more civilians to be engaged in criticism like this. Adams does a great job of exploring contemporary masculinity and war in this book, and it needs more eyes on it. This book helps readers to explore the problem that Achilles embeds in the minds of so many men: stay home and die in obscurity, or go to war and die a hero.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-11-23 00:00:00 Allan Eriksson that was a short read. i think i was mislead by the title or perhaps i misunderstood it, anyways it wasn't as helpful as i hoped it would be.
