Review # 2 was written on 2017-04-02 00:00:00 Peter Fredlund I saw an ad for this book in the back of one of my Trailsman novels, as I love mountain man stories and am always looking to discover new authors - I bought it on my kindle. I am beyond delighted with my first exposure to Mr. Manning. I adored the characters, you got to know them and care about their stories. I loved their adventures and grit my teeth when trouble popped up to over take them. The interactions between Eben and Falconer were some of my favorite parts to read. The inner turmoil in some of the characters and then their resolve when the cards were played.. were very humanising. I can't wait to read the next Falconer book.
