This alphabet book features delicate illustrations and rhymed couplets. A compendium by Mark McCullough ends this rich-vocabulary book. To improve visual literacy, children can study the interaction and juxtaposition of alphabet letters and pictures. They can choose a topic and create their own intertwining alphabet letters and visuals.

An innovative alphabet book all about the caribou and its environment with rhymed couplets on each page relaying a brief description. At the back of the book is "A Caribou Compendium" that expands the information. Several million caribou still live in the tundra, bogs, barrens and forests of Canada.
