Review # 1 was written on 2016-05-13 00:00:00 Lenard Williams Although the concept of combining the poems with illustrated interpretations is quite neat and some of the illustrations were great, I found myself generally unimpressed with the poems. There are a few exceptions here and there, but generally, I didn't find them very worth reading. One notable exception was "Father" by Marylyn Gear Pilling, it's a masterful poem, simple and spare but moving. It almost single-handedly makes me not regret reading this collection. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-08-06 00:00:00 Declan Mccarthy I managed to find a copy of this book at Cheap Thrills, I was super impressed. Early Cohen, Atwood, and Layton. If you can find a copy, I would say its a gem among paper trash. |
