Review # 1 was written on 2020-04-02 00:00:00 Joe Smith For some reason, this book seems to describe a long ago and far away time. Well done, with interesting insights, and lovely pictures.

Review # 2 was written on 2007-08-23 00:00:00 Ivan Miller the contributer essays are mostly superficial and unsatisfying, but the book is totally worth it - even to non-vassar grads - for the introduction. it is a really fascinating examination of the history of homo-sexual/erotic/social relationships at historically women's colleges as they evolved from the 1860s to the 1990s. it is so surprising to see how much more restrictive college, and society at large, became over the years, not how much less.
