Review # 1 was written on 2014-01-28 00:00:00 Andrew Masenas Good read, or maybe rather "skim" as this book rehashes plentitude of classic business concepts. All in all, sheds light at the importance of always considering the outside environments (customer, economic, social, legal, political, etc.) and examining ebbing, flowing and evolving trends rather than only looking inside the boundary that defines ones business. Filled with applicable nuggets pertaining to marketing strategies and understanding the consumer. I like how the author emphasizes the interconnectedness of the components that comprise the multi-dimensional realm of a business that exists in a time. Reading the book, one can't help but become acutely aware of the dynamics and volatilities that can both serve as threats and opportunities, depending on level of insight. Useful and thoughtful material, though a bit broad and diluted in certain areas.
