Review # 1 was written on 2018-12-01 00:00:00 Darryl Grubbs This is a fascinating biography of the legendary family of steeped in creative magic and religious passions - of the author himself, of his uncle, the iconic Yehudi Menuhin, his equally brilliant, but lesser known prodigy sisters, the author's mother, concert pianist poet Yaltah Menuhin and his aunt, concert pianist and antiwar activist Hepzibah Menuhin. More than that, it is a chronicling of the family going centuries to the founding of the hassidic branch of Judaism in Russia and Lithuania and how the author finds his place in it and in today's world.
