These essays develop as central to a decolonized anthropology a rejection of positivism and alleged neutrality, critiques of anthropologists' failure to critically engage in issues of power relations, and community-oriented liberatory praxis, and finally suggests that the place of a truly decolonized anthropology cannot be within the academy at all.
