Review # 1 was written on 2012-02-14 00:00:00 Paul Sasso The subject matter is amazing. It shows just how far one would go not to be labeled as "black". It was better(and in many cases still is) better to be considered anything but "BLACK". Apparently you could sue a person who said you were black if you feel that you aren't. The history of this country is so very twisted.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-06-04 00:00:00 Kathryn Patterson My family is connected to the Melungeons so I am a bit of a niche audience for this, but I think it has a lot of great history in it. This field of history can be quite convoluted (just FYI) so you may want to seek out contrasting books as well.
