Luis Nadeau , Canadian author , is considered the reference for all Alternative Printing Processes . This used to mean Alternative to Silver Based printing , but nowadays it means alternative to Digital Printing . In essence Alternative Printing processes , among which Platinum is considered to be the "Suma Plus Ultra" of image quality, are considered to be "Fine Art Processes" since they all require extensive personal involvement , from capturing an image in film , specifically tailored to the Platinum process , then "Hand Making" your Platinum Sensitized paper , followed by printing it using the sun as a source of Ultra Violet light . There are many books on this subject but they all have Nadeau as a reference of authority.
