Review # 1 was written on 2012-09-24 00:00:00 William Ohara A thick-ass desktop-publishing-era movie guide with hideously cobbled and rendered reviews that were obviously churned out by underpaid interns who plagiarized them from elsewhere and made them legal with the judicious replacement of a word here or there. But, the cross-reference themed lists in the back -- listing titles of movies by keyword/hastag-type categories -- are helpful. For some reason I've kept a couple of these annually issued shelf-wasters around even though the internet has rendered them obsolete. Little bone icons are used to rate films instead of stars or asterisks. Yeah, it's that kind of book. (KR@Ky) |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-09-02 00:00:00 Wayne Snyder This book nearly got 4 stars, but is simply not as large as it might have been. Having said that, the photographs - nearly all full size - are top notch in this book, and the books valuable for that alone. If you want to see what pens looked like in their heyday, I can very much recommend this book along those lines. |
