For the price and ease of use, 5 stars. The ease of use is great for what it is, but it’s still far from ideal. Greek coins have harder legends to decipher than Latin ones, so this problem mixed with the variables of wear, corrosion, patina and striking pressure make identification for a lot of lower end coins extremely difficult. For example, I have a greek coin with Tyche on obverse, and an unknown figure (maybe Apollo) standing left and leaning on a tripod behind him/her. The legend looks like AKAP to start with. If these four contiguous letters are correct, I still couldn’t find the name of a city/kingdom with these letters in the index of either volume. Maybe it’s a king’s name, or maybe I read it incorrectly altogether. Since the books don’t show every coin, i’ll have to read all the segments that cover the diameter size. Still no luck. I think a better guide might put reverse designs together, or obverse designs. Online searches are even worse. Still glad I own this book, just leaves me wishing
