Review # 2 was written on 2008-08-03 00:00:00 Gary Stover There are lots of books about hiking in the bay area, but almost none about backpacking. That's a shame, because we have some great spots so close to home. This book does more than fill the void -- it is the first book I check when suggesting a hike or backpack trip. The section on the Ohlone Wilderness Trail is especially welcome. There is very little material published about that trail, and Matt gives it the full guidebook treatment, down to describing the individual campsites.
