A compact and good text on voting theory and fair division problems pitched at a higher level than most. The only undergraduate I've found on the subject which covers ideas like the Smith set or a modern voting procedure like Schulze's method (aka beatpath method). Doesn't shy away from giving more details on Kuhn's fair division method for greater than 3 people and the relevance of Hall's marriage theorem. The author's surname is Börgers not B'Orgers as GoodReads has.

Very nice. I especially appreciated the details on Babylonian and Egyptian mathematical syntax. It would be 4 stars if it went deeper into those and the Oriental contributions, but it focuses on the usual Mediterranean/European history. There was a fair bit on the Arabic era (the supposed Dark Ages) which was nice and the authors emphasize praise for my favorite little known Mathematical hero Evariste Galois.
