Review # 1 was written on 2012-06-01 00:00:00 Ciaran McCormack This book is right on. And I know because I just retired after 21 years as a judge. Judge McMahon provides a judge's view of scripture and Christian life. Her meditation on "The Man Healed of Blindness" in the Gospel of John is superb. Her discussion of the Gospels as hearsay and exceptions to the hearsay rule is smart and true. Her discourse on "Rachel Weeping for Her Children" is just beautiful and moving. She presents the courtroom as I found it to be --- moving, emotional, serious, challenging. Anyone interested in his/her Christian life would love this down-to-earth short book. A keeper!
