Review # 1 was written on 2020-03-26 00:00:00 John Winters This book is very eye opening about the subject of sex done in a wrong way, yet speaking of its importance to be used in a right way. Our sexual lives reflect where we are spiritually. If we cheapen and misuse what God made holy between a married couple, it will affect us emotionally, physically, and spiritually. What I liked about the book is also at the end, he gives hope to people who may have made mistakes in the past, and gives pointers on how to make changes and go forward in purity. I actually learned a lot from this book, and understand things I had not yet before considered. I found the material very helpful. However, I did not give it 5 stars because some of the doctrinal ideas were not totally spot on-overall he has some spiritual understanding but adheres to some of the faulty reasoning of mainstream Christianity. Though I did appreciate his looking at the past of people like David and Samson and taking lessons from their situations as ways we can learn to avoid the same mistakes. Still both men were used in profound ways. We would all do better to learn from books like these and to live according to God's purpose for us, without bringing in any unnecessary baggage into our lives. This book consists of great encouragement, wisdom, and practicality.
