Review # 1 was written on 2021-06-17 00:00:00 Tom Fremont Although I only give it four stars, this a book well-worth reading for anyone looking for a stirring modern example of a Christian on fire. The biographer follows Josh from his youth through college and conversion and into his international ministry with Campus Crusade. His energy and passion to evangelize left me breathless. He is a modern American type of the apostle Paul. This is my second time reading it, and this time I was struck by how Josh was mistreated by Christians throughout his ministry, and how he learned to deal with this worst injustice in a Christlike manner. Although the writing is nothing to shout about, it is very readable and fresh and lends itself to an earnest telling of the life and ministry of modern firecracker for Christ.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-10-10 00:00:00 Michael Perik The writing is just so-so, but the story of Josh is impressive. I was surprised by many of the things he suffered and admired how he handled difficulties he encountered from other believers. Definitely challenged me and want to re-read one day.
