Review # 1 was written on 2013-01-01 00:00:00 Timothy Evans I picked this cookbook up at my local used book store for a pittance. I love crock-pot cooking - put everything in the cooker and forget about it! The recipes in this cookbook are easy and simple; using ingredients usually found in every kitchen. I have prepared several recipes and found them delicious. I have tweaked some to make them lower in fat, sodium, calories, cholesterol, sugar, etc., and they are just as good. I have even substituted venison for beef in several. I don't think I will ever find a cookbook where I will absolutely love every single recipe in the book. This one comes close. It will be one I will use time and time again.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-10-17 00:00:00 Joseph Melanson If I could give this book a 0 star rating I would. I tried the receipe on the cover because it looks delicous, but to tell you the truth when I tried it in my slow cooker it was tasteless. I looked through a couple more of the receipes but did not like any of the others. This book left a lot to be desired. I have bought other Taste of Home cook books and liked most of them...this one just did not work for me.
