Review # 1 was written on 2012-11-28 00:00:00 Darin vandeventer I loved this book, about the childhood of a lifelong friend of the family. It talks about scraping along in the Midwest, the land of the dust bowl and depression. It talks about small town America. I was so enchanted that I drove thru town on my way home from the southwest. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-08-17 00:00:00 Kjl Shh Repeats itself a bit in places, but clearly written and a very interesting topic. The analysis of bigger themes and impacts is also clear, but maybe a bit superficial - perhaps on purpose to make it accessible to a wider audience. |
