Review # 1 was written on 2013-11-15 00:00:00 Caterina Patania I DNFed this early after so many claims about pain as somaticization and performance. Rather than pain as human experience, it's more apt to say this collection reimagines human experience as pain, namely how human experience and suffering supposedly become psychosocially transposed into pain. Also too similar to other academic texts (I'm thinking Kleinman's Illness Narratives) and not worth reading in addition.
