Although I had to read this book slower than I usually read, I was okay with that because it was so incredibly dense. Thank you my dear friend @sarikasamosa on ig for lending this to me, it was a pleasure to read and I will most definitely buy my own copy to read endlessly. It's main premise is that Eastern psychotherapy is indeed the spiritual practices themselves. Though Western psychology uncovers some level of truth, they fall short and only reduce us to our biology, our upbringing, our past and our sexuality. We are so much more than that. That's why when reading on Western psychotherapy, I always felt so much missing but couldn't put a finger on it. Carl Jung actually got the furthest in his exploration of Oneness, but he fell just short of it and remained in the realm of archetypes, choosing to marvel at them rather than see past them, understand their connectedness and truly see that they are manifestations of the true Divine. His vocabulary is still widely used in psychological spheres, but these terms exist in Sanskrit and have been used for centuries as part of yoga's ancient therapy. Yoga as most of us know it in the West is so much more than stretching and breathing, that is only one aspect of uniting our entire being. It is a holistic approach to achieving "I am that." Physical yoga is just the beginning, because first we must soothe our physical bodies to become in touch with our high nature. And there's layers to unfold there too. Though this book was written for actual psychotherapists to incorporate yogic teachings into their practice (and not believe the Western teachings are the end all be all), I read primarily for my own healing first and foremost. If you've been following me, you know that I like to teach what I learn as well and I have been so grateful for this book for having come into my life to heighten my own Conscious experience and be able to relay it once it's worked. This book also solidified my theory on the abstract spectrum, of which I've recorded a couple videos on my youtube already. Beyond that, if you are interested in deep healing, metaphysical connection to Source, yogic philosophy, the connection between psychology and spirituality or you're curious about the true nature of the Universe itself -- this book is a MUST read.

What I liked about this book was that there were separate chapters for different kinds of back pain. So, I just need to focus on learning the moves from one chapter. It's very helpful.
