Review # 2 was written on 2011-02-20 00:00:00 Victor Klujsza Excellent book on American furniture -- Jacobean, William and Mary, Queen Anne, Chippendale and Federal. Great photos of period pieces as well as step by step turning (on a lathe). Also how pieces were used during their times such as card tables that were used in taverns as much as homes for playing cards, backgammon, and dice games. Favorite card games were whist, lanterloo, put, piquet, cribbage and all fours (during the Puritan era). |
