Review # 1 was written on 2011-12-07 00:00:00 Steven Bayers My enviro professor was both scatterbrained and slightly insane, so I wound up having to teach myself most of the black letter of environmental law (such as it is) out of supplemental readers. As far as they go, this one was ok. I thought the exercises didn't give the clearest explanations, but I liked the chapters that outlined the basics of the various statutes. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-04-16 00:00:00 Bryon Collier This book is a must-read for anyone interested in environmental justice. It is the only environmental justice book I have ever encountered that is explicitly from an American Studies perspective. It reframes the organizations and struggles of four neighborhoods in New York to highlight what the local context and organizing in the exemplary of the neoliberal global city. |
