Review # 1 was written on 2019-11-12 00:00:00 David Skaar Beautifully illustrated... This book taught me about a subject matter I did not know much about prior to reading (Japanese - Canadian picture brides) in a story format that was at the same time endearing, heart-felt, and heartaching.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-07-12 00:00:00 Ralph Terracciano Got this book at a book signing where both the author and illustrator were present. Both were very nice and the book was great. It is a pretty serious topic, but was written in a gentle way. This is a great book to add to your personal library.
