Review # 1 was written on 2017-04-14 00:00:00 Dmitri Slavin More bathroom reading from the great book disposal event at work, and it is entirely appropriate that this was a book read while sitting on the toilet, because Dennis Miller is an asshole. Sometimes he is a funny asshole, and this book gets two stars for those funny bits. He can turn a phrase rather well, and does invective with conviction. But sometimes he's just an asshole, and there's a lot of that in here as well. And then, occasionally, he is a self-righteous, ignorant asshole. His anti-NASA, anti-funding for science rant was the epitome of this mode, wherein he revealed a complete and total ignorance of how science actually progresses, and joined the thousands of fucking politically motivated shitheels in the US who want to drag this country back into the stone age, except where it is for their convenience, or for moving a dollar from one pocket to another.
