Review # 1 was written on 2013-09-30 00:00:00 Michael Camacho I loved the short stories - as part of our Grade 12 french course, we had to read the 1st 5 & in groups do a presentation based on the story we got - Une Visite a la Mer - basically, Agnes goes to live with her aunts & the aunt's daughter Jocelyne has a boyfriend, Bernard who Agnes likes & they kiss & he goes for a swim the next day & his body washes up on shore - dead - that's wht u get Puits Sans Fond - a greedy guy Rodrigue loses everything to greed, including his wife & gets nothing at the end My STORY: At an abbey, a monk, Piquelier gets drunk and causes a huge scandal, doing forbidden things & making a fool of himself & after, he begs forgiveness - btw, I had to roleplay the drunk monk -__- Le Bel Equilibriste: a pretty tightrope walker, Angelo & a small town girl, Martine fall in love & they plan to elope together but at the last minute, she decides not to go with him & spends her life imagining what their life would've been like, as if he were there Les Garcons de la bonne Famille: Rich boy Gilbert marries a poor girl Gisele & gets disowned - thus, he has to work hard to support them both & dies from exhaustion & his father feels guilty, as if it was his fault & takes in Gisele & GIsele goes on to marry his older brother Marcel, 6 months later! :O Great Stories!! There's some deep shit here
