Review # 1 was written on 2016-03-26 00:00:00 Robin Hu In general I really like Dario Fo's work (I haven't read anything else credited to Franca Rame, but her career seems to have taken more or less the same trajectory as his), but I am not a fan of monologue plays, and this is a series of monologues. To be fair, these are some fairly interesting monologues, dealing with women's struggles in patriarchal, Catholic Italy during the 1970s. But it's still monologues.

No, honestly, not at at all! Since I can't write like Ibsen, I've copied McGonagall Well perhaps a tiny bit. He can't resist a terrible rhyme And like the Scot, he'll be remembered for a very long time.
