This book was an engaging, informational children's book because it asked questions about what you were reading about. It describes several different animals and their physical qualities that they have and gives the reader a chance to guess what animal it is before telling them on the next page. I think 3rd grade would be the oldest I would use the book instructional because it is a relatively easy read, but it would be great to have in the classroom library for students to read for fun! One way I would use this book is to practice the reading comprehension strategy of making predictions and inferences. This book provides lots of descriptions that students could use in order to create their predictions. Another way I could use this book in my classroom would be during a science lesson. This book would be a great resource for comparing organisms and their habitats. This science activity would also help students develop comparing and contrasting skills that could be used in other content areas, including reading! This was a WOW book for me because of how engaging I think it would be for students to read. I had fun as I was reading the book learning about the details of each animal and then guessing what I thought it would be. It was easier for me to do, but I think it would be a great read for children. It would also be a resource for students who may not get the chance to experience the outdoors to see some of the different animals in our world! *Accessed ebook on Tumblebooks

I thought this was a really fun book I found at the library. I read it to my 4 year old son who enjoyed finding the camouflage animals on each page. Win-win that he also learned in the process.
