Review # 2 was written on 2007-05-05 00:00:00 Robert Gallagher The authors purpose is to tell you all about the history of Barbie. It starts at year 1959 and goes to the present day. It tells you about the process and all the steps that it takes to build Barbie. The theme is about how something small can turn into something big. The book tells all about Barbie being a toy to the most famous doll in the world. And all the influences she has had. The style of the book is a description. It is a description of the evolution of Barbie and how they were made. It tells all about the different years that Barbie has been around. It also tells about the inspirations that were put into Barbie. The way the book was fairly effective. I did like how the book was written from the idea of Barbie to the present day thing she is. Each section of the book is a new year. It also had lots and lots of pictures. I thought the book was ok. I mainly liked looking at all the pictures it had. It was also cool to see all the different types and styles there have been of Barbie.
