Review # 1 was written on 2017-07-29 00:00:00 Hazem Hmoud The book had a lot of respect for the reader, and some excellent example problems. However, the definitions were often put so contextually as to give pause, and the material was very broad. Loved it overall, though, as a survey and a simple reference. Had I had the time at UIUC (the one semester I did, the waitlist was too long), I would have enjoyed the proofs class using the text. Alas.
