Review # 1 was written on 2011-10-04 00:00:00 Starr Williams III This book focuses on listening and reading comprehension of spoken Spanish. It contains 12 lessons with several dialogues each. Some grammatical points are explained briefly. This book+audio package suits me perfectly - I always enjoy learning languages by reading texts and listening to dialogues or narrations. I haven't read the "Teach Yourself Spanish" package that should precede this one, just the "Teach Yourself Beginner's Spanish", so I don't know whether first-time Spanish students would find the level of vocabulary (and speed) in this book too difficult or not. |
Review # 2 was written on 2017-01-17 00:00:00 Judy Yost I don't know if you can ever claim to be done reading a dictionary, but for what it's worth for now, I am done with it. A great help for Spanish novice, breaking down the etymology of verbs and words can be extremely helpful and helps a great deal with understanding. To pair up with any lessons or learning system anyone uses to learn this beautiful language. |
