A little grandiose, but nonetheless fun.

Although people are often praised for being clever, there are far more synonyms for stupidity. The Natural History of Stupidity is written by Paul Tabori. It discusses the mistakes and stupid decisions that people made over the years. The book takes account of many aspects of stupidity and categorizes it into categories. I know that is a tautology but I couldn’t think of any other word for categories. People can be considered stupid for many different reasons; greed, slavish regard for pomp, bureaucratic red tape, too much schooling, too little schooling, and so on. It seems that no one is immune to its effects. This book is really engaging and well-written. I found it in the library and picked it up. I didn’t really expect all that much from it, but I was pleasantly surprised in this case. The book is a bit old which might date it a bit. According to the copyright page, it was published in 1993. However, I don’t believe schadenfreude ever goes out of style.
