Review # 1 was written on 2009-09-15 00:00:00 Jammin Torres Forced to read this for John Najemy's Machiavelli course at Cornell. Often meandering, sometimes tedious, there are are still some real gems in hear. Machiavelli was a witty guy, and the letters are an interesting portrait of what his life and times were like, and what he was interested in, when nobody was looking. Can't really recommend buying it, but it's fun to browse in. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-01-05 00:00:00 Joe Fill I would love to be a hideous shadow in Rome, a song thrust of the early 16th century in the outskirts of Florence, a breeze with a hint of blood whirling in front of the Piazza Della Signoria. If only I could die in his hands. |
