Monahan Okay, so this really doesn't count as a full book read because I just read the titular story in a digital copy of the book on Google Books, but I don't know if this translation of the story is listed on its own, so, yeah, just gonna rate it this way. (I'll delete it if I do find a page the story on its own on here.) It's a VERY short story, but it's still cute. Easy to understand, and I like how clever the main character is. The end was honestly a twist I didn't see coming, but was, again, quite clever. Of course, I was drawn to the story because of the title. But even I don't think I am as clever as the Rachel in this story. Though I wish I could be. Also, in trying to find this story, I stumbled across some blog post where someone joked about wishing this Rachel could become the next Disney princess. And while I don't know how they'd be able to expand this story into a feature-length film, I'd definitely like to see it. At least to give some representation to us Jews, and allow me to unofficially become a Disney princess. But alas, a girl can dream... |
