Review # 1 was written on 2010-07-26 00:00:00 Jonathan Storts One might think Henry's life is always a bracing tonic, regardless of the quality of a particular biography. One would be wrong. Everything here is cursory and shallow except for the period where the author opens a Henry Miller studio in Chicago - and this part reads more like her own biography, which is slow and pedestrian. I have nothing negative to say; I just have nothing positive to add. 1.5 rounded up.
